From the moment you step out of your car in the little Glenoe car park, you can hear the roar of cascading water hidden somewhere in the trees.
Glenoe Waterfall is an absolute must-see if you find yourself in County Antrim. Mere moments from the car park is the breathtaking sight of this thundering waterfall, flowing into a quintessential babbling brook, and off into a stream winding its way past a handful of houses and off down the hill. What I wouldn’t give to live in one of those houses!

If you have time on your hands (and a book in your bag), there’s a bench situated near the waterfall just across a sturdy wooden bridge where visitors can sit and enjoy this natural wonder.
There is also a steep path leading up to the top of the waterfall for those who want to see it up-close, and towering moss-coated trees along the way.
There aren’t any facilities at this one given how small it is, but I imagine it’s a wonderful place for a picnic so come prepared.

Verdict: A peaceful spot to wonder at the power and beauty of nature.
